(meteorobs) IMO-NEWS: Giacobinids returned! (Japan)
Sure enough, a few minutes behind Gary Kronk's post, along came this
report over the official "imo-news" list! It seems this observing group
was fortunate enough to see at least some unusual Draconid activity...
Note that the actual number of meteors seen was quite small, but with
(IMO-style?) corrections, the theoretical "ZHR" was *much* higher!
BTW, was this the Japanese group you meant, Gary - was there another?

Giacobinids are rich in faint meteors. Sky conditions and perception
coefficient of observers affect heavily on ZHR estimates. Bright Moon
hindered observations and SD are rather large.
